Spark*L.E. Cleaning Services is part of the Lazarus House Job Training
Program which provides on the job training and employment to enhance our
trainees' skills and resumes.
Many in our community lack the basic skills and experience to seek and hold
regular employment. We developed an intensive training program to help men
and women attain job skills, training, mentoring and experience. On
average, 90 individuals participate in our job training and education
programs. Each participant works 30 hours a week and is additionally
compensated for 10 hours of ESL (English -As-A-Second-Language) education.
Our manager and assistant manager both graduated from this very program and
now professionally run the cleaning service. Since 1998, over 89% of our
graduates have gone on to find permanent employment. Thus, helping to find a
way out of poverty, gaining much confidence, self respect and dignity. All
helping to forge a new way of life for our proud graduates.
