Lazarus House Ministries - Programs - Corpus Christi AIDS Residence And Bethany House

Corpus Christi AIDS Residence And Bethany House

Current statistics say that 1 out of every 250 people in the United States is suffering and dying with AIDS, many without a home, friends or family.

Since 1994, Lazarus House Ministries has strived to help local HIV/AIDS patients to achieve a healthy and independent lifestyle via the Corpus Christi Residence and Bethany House programs.

Under the direction of the Ministry, this program provides housing and compassionate care along with comprehensive services for low income and homeless individuals and families with HIV/AIDS operating at two supported residence sites: an eight unit congregate program for individuals (Corpus Christi House) and a two-family building to house adults and their families (Bethany House). The two-family building has one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom unit.

Residents commit to living and participating in the drug and alcohol free lifestyle of the residence, and agree to comply with house rules and to live in a community setting characterized by mutual respect among all residents and staff.

The Corpus Christi AIDS Residence is a home for men and women who are living with HIV or AIDS. Many of these people are without a home, friends and/or family. The Bethany House Family AIDS Residence is for families with one or more members living with HIV or AIDS. There are services and programs at Corpus Christi Residence and Bethany House that specifically attend to the needs of these individuals.

A supportive residential environment is offered to single men, women, and families who live with HIV or AIDS. Corpus Christi honors individual capacity, independence and dignity, while fostering personal growth and maximizing access to needed medical and social services.
