Citezens Who Care Award
Corpus Christi Changes
Dear Friends,
Hopefully your summer brought refreshment, peace and renewal to our spirits so that we can
greet our upcoming days with energy and enthusiasm.
It is your energy, enthusiasm and goodness that we count on to
propel our ministry toward the goal of moving our guests to a place in
their lives where they can enjoy the same view of summer that we have — rest and renewal.
This summer we have been blessed by many generous,
dedicated groups of volunteers who cared enough to take time for our guests.
The playground has a new and manicured look — what that must do
for a mother bringing her child there to play — a safe, clean,
wonderful environment where kids can just be kids!
We were blessed with wonderful young men and women who would not
be deterred, even by heat in the 90’s, from working outside
landscaping — bringing one more touch of dignity and respect to our
Corpus Christi residents, to our park and many other areas of our ministry.
Our facilities radiate care and love given freely by so many.
The enthusiasm of what we were privileged and excited to be witness to has rekindled the fire
of determination and dedication in all of us here at Lazarus House as we move forward.
There are so many ways and opportunities for all of us to make life better — and to
have fun in the doing.
Together let’s celebrate! Let us celebrate our blessings, our ability to help, and let
us celebrate the joy and privilege of helping our brothers and sisters.
