Join the Fun
Please join us for a five-mile pledge walk through beautiful downtown Andover, Massachusetts, followed by an afternoon of fun, great food and entertainment for all ages.

Last year's walk saw well over 2,000 participants, hundreds of volunteers and raised over $286,000.
All proceeds benefit Lazarus House Transitional Housing Project-the bridge between homelessness and permanent housing.
The Lazarus House Transitional Housing Program
"Bringing the Homeless Home"
The program is an extension of the continuum of services Lazarus House provides.
It will enable homeless families and individuals to move into permanent housing-
once again experiencing independent living. Phase One of the project will provide
single parents and their children with apartments and comprehensive support
services including case management, independent living skills, education and
economic training for up to two years. This extensive program will help ensure
guests achieve success in moving into permanent housing and continue building
successful productive lives. For more information, read the Lazarus House Transitional Housing Program Brochure, a PDF document.
Through the generosity and determination of our Hike sponsors, walkers and participants over the last 6 years, we have been able to acquire the property in Lawrence that will be the new home of our Transitional Housing project, which we will break ground in late August 2006.
Your Sponsorship Will Help:
- Build transitional housing establishments in Lawrence.
- Establish comprehensive support services including independent living skills education and economic training for up to two years.
- To ensure guests achieve success in moving into permanent housing and continue building successful productive lives.
- Build awareness about homelessness within the Merrimack Valley and across the state.
- Send the message that we, as a community, are committed to ending homelessness in Massachusetts.

The generous support of our sponsors have brought us this far. Please - help us reach our goal.
Thanks to the contributions of our donors and sponsors in the first four years, Hike for Hope has raised enough to break ground on Phase One of the Lazarus House Transitional Housing Project.
To complete all phases of the construction costs are estimated at $7.4 million.
We thank you in advance for your generous donation to this year’s Hike - as we take steps to bring the homeless home.
